Good Works: Giving Children a Voice

No matter how beautiful the packaging, it’s what’s inside the bottle that really counts. That is the slightly corny but beautifully earnest maxim that Eufora—the globally recognized company committed to serving stylists and salon owners beyond the innovation of people- and planet-friendly hair care—has adopted as its raison d’être, whether it’s creating products or supporting charitable work. To wit, the company calls on Eufora salons nationwide to join in the efforts to help support the children of Childhelp during April’s National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Founded in 1959 by former Hollywood actors, Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, Childhelp has created a safe haven for children victims of child abuse; a staggering five children a day die from child abuse, and the majority are under the age of four. Each year, Eufora encourages its network of salons to hold special fundraising events with proceeds benefiting the organization, as well as participate in the “One Tip One Child” campaign one month during the year, where stylists donate one tip a day to the cause. Through these initiatives—including the company’s first-ever runway show led by celebrity stylist Philip Carreon—Eufora has raised more than a half million dollars for Childhelp.
