We all remember how awful braces were back in the day: the mashup of metal and rubber bands; food forever stuck in your teeth; the Game of Thrones–esque pain level of the monthly adjustments. Thankfully, Invisalign—the geniuses behind the virtually invisible teeth aligners—are interested in more than just perfect pearly whites. Connecting with teens via pop culture (the brand recently hit up DigiTour) and campaigns like Unbrace Teen Confidence, Invisalign is now in the know on how teens and their moms really feel about braces and its affect on self-esteem. Based on its recent Teen Confidence Survey, Invisalign created the free, interactive pocket guide, “Unbrace Teen Confidence,” which shares facts from the study alongside tips from parenting expert and author Erika Katz on what parents can do to help teens build a foundation of self-esteem.
Invisalign then took its mission one step further and partnered with DoSomething.org, an organization that builds teen confidence by creating opportunities for them to drive positive change and help the world, well, suck less. For every person that clicks, shares, or downloads the guide, the Invisalign Teen brand will donate $1 to DoSomething.org. Now that’s something to smile about. —Jennifer Henderson
