Name: Kelly Gallozzi

Occupation: Vice president of sales and partnerships for Bloglovin’, “a platform that beautifully connects the ecosystem of users, brands, and content creators through native-first advertising and marketing strategy. At Bloglovin’, we have the power to constantly evolve and excite our users.”

Her formative years: “As early as junior high, I would go to consignment and thrift stores to find vintage pieces to wear to school. And I kept a library of fashion magazines; my favorites were the UK and Italian editions.”

Her work ethic: “Go with your gut. There is no ‘I’ in team. And being a dreamer will never fail you.”

Her turning point: “I’ve had two: first, managing my team during the launch at People StyleWatch. The second was leaving the traditional corporate culture and transitioning into the startup world.”

The “success” factor: “Being comfortable outside of your comfort zone.”

Her personal style: “I am a hippie at heart, but I love neutrals, too. I would say [my style is] bohemian meets modern-feminine meets masculine. Since it’s almost winter, my [uniform is] new Amo jeans with an Ulla Johnson top and Isabel Marant boots. And I am so happy that the new blowout [look] is messy, so I can fully embrace my tousled beach hair [all year long].”

Her must-haves: “That is a loaded question. For beauty, SK-11 and La Mer products have changed my skin. As far as style is concerned, I love Isabel Marant, Ulla Johnson, Chanel, and vintage anything.”

In her blogosphere: “I like so many blogs and Bloglovin’ empowers me to editorialize my feed, so I am constantly reading my favorites—like Le Fashion and Dust Jacket—and discovering new ones like Style Heroine.”

Her vision of beauty: “Right after a workout: the flushed color of your cheeks, the sweat that brings moisture to your face, all of it.”

Her happy place: “On the beach with my family.”

In her bag: “My iPhone, ear buds for music and work calls, NARS lipstick and foundation, and a package of baby wipes.

Her balancing act: “I remind myself that it is not about having it all. It’s about being happy while trying to have it all. So far, I am really happy. [I have] an awesome, hands-on husband, A+ people on my team who I can inspire and evolve with, and a company I truly believe in.”

Best advice: “Take one day at a time. And stay true to what turns you on.”

What’s next: “Besides world domination? [laughs] I’ve worked really hard and I’m truly fortunate that I’ve been able to take the typical sales job and create a position for myself where my creative and entrepreneurial sides truly shine. I am looking forward to expanding my role at Bloglovin’, as it is gearing up to be the defining moment of my career.”
